I promised you
my “Anxiety” post next, and I still hold that promise very close to me. It’s
coming, I swear. I just wanted to sit down with you over a lovely cup of coffee
or tea (or your choice of beverage) and fill you in on my life lately.
I have been back
into reading again. Oh, how I’ve missed reading. Although the books I read
aren’t very thought provoking – at all – it’s always a pleasure diving into a
world fill with fiction and literature.
“You Had Me at
Hello” by Mhairi McFarlane is what I am reading in case you were curious. It is
your typical romance, nearly predictable novel, but I enjoy it. Guilty as
charged.
More excitingly,
I have something so, so beyond thrilling to share with you!
On the 3rd
of September, which was now over a month ago –holy cow –, I was contacted via
Facebook asking if I do “photography”. I was hesitant at first because one, I
did not know this person and two, I wouldn’t really classify myself as a
“photographer”.
I don’t undertake
photography classes, nor am I a professional by any means. And I said exactly
that. To my absolute surprise they responded with “would you be interested in
trying it out?” and of course by now I was freaking out and was immediately
intrigued.
My first
photography gig?
And yes it very
much did turn out to be my first photography gig. For a 21st, but it
was a start!
Leading up to
the night I was obviously nervous but at the end of the night I was so happy
with the results that I was so keen on my next gig (which will be at the end of
this month or the beginning of the next month).
So let’s raise
our glasses (or cups) to new beginnings and an exciting future ahead!
Cue the violins
and sweet piano tunes, but I would not been able to do it without you. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for
your underlying support.
Congratulations on your photography gig! It feels soooo good to have these kinds of victories : ) Here's to many more to come!
