So, if you follow me on Facebook or
Instragram – which I totally think you should! – you would know I have become a
slight health freak.
I have come from someone who would not
worry about their calorie, fat and sodium intake into someone who obsesses over
how much they are taking in. And although it is very, very difficult at times I am actually beginning to love my new
lifestyle and my ‘new’ self.
I think it would be necessary and
significant to share with you as to why I have become this ‘health freak’ as I
call it? Well, exactly nearly a week ago on Wednesday, 3rd of this
month I woke up one morning unhappy with my body and health, so I changed it.
As simple as that.
The very next day I set myself a ‘weight
loss challenge’ and because of it I have lost nearly 3kg (6 lbs.) just a little
over a week. Which is a huge accomplishment
for me.
The pictures above are only the few fruits
and drinks I eat and/or drink on a daily basis and while I am still craving the
odd cheeseburger here and there, I am truly enjoying this journey so far.
As for Healthy
Habits, I think it is going to be a new “series” on my blog. As often as I
can I will update you on my journey and maybe share some recipes here and
there, and I possibly may even share with you some tips and tricks with you
lot!
However, please keep in mind that I am not
a professional by any means with health and fitness. This is just something I
am doing for myself.
If you would like to know anything about my
journey so far, please do ask in the comments and I will add it to my next Healthy Habits series!
This is exciting and I hope you are just as excited as I am!

Gorgeous photos! I'm excited to read more of this series :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go!! We made big changes to our diet a few years ago- cut out processed food and microwaves and plastics and went organic- it was the best decision I ever made. I feel so much better and feel comfortable in what the kiddos are eating too!

Congratulations on your voyage to better health! It's great to have the discipline to eat well and live well, especially when there are so many temptations everywhere. I'm looking you up on Instagram to follow your journey; my name there is LyssaGirlLovesLife!
ReplyDeleteWoah congratulations! I look forward to hearing more! I've started changing my eating habits this week as well, definitely a strange time of year to do it, but just think, if its possible now, will be even easier in the New Year!
ReplyDeleteExcited for the series!!
ReplyDeleteI had really bad eating habits, but I changed my diet 2 months ago and now I'm plant-based. It's awesome to see what we are capable of

Woooo! You go girl. I love Almond milk. It's so good. Have you tried making chia pudding with it? It's amazing
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog you have! I just started following you on Instagram and I love your photos! BUT I also love this healthy living stuff too. Great read! I'll be following along, for sure!
ReplyDeletePS: YAY ALMOND MILK!!
I used to eat nothing but bad, processed food but I'm so glad I enjoy healthy foods now, too. I'm not saying that I am in the pink of health but healthier, whole foods really do make you feel more energised and better about yourself. Your body is a temple, after all, and whatever you put in it is important. :) So glad you've hopped onto this lifestyle of good, fresh foods! The best part is you took initiative and changed it just like that. Not to mention, for yourself.
ReplyDeleteThough that being said, we can have our cheat days with sundaes and sweets too ;)
I've been sort of following this as much as I can on Snapchat and maybe on instagram? I definitely saw that you have been getting out there and working hard. Congrats! I hope you've been feeling all kinds of great because of it. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, can we talk about how lovely and professional looking these photos are!
Wow, i'm really proud of you and your accomplishment! Wow. I also fell in love with this blog, keep up the good work! x
